Board Vacancy

Hearts & Minds warmly invites applications to our Governance Board: if you have a heart for people and a mind for community we want to hear from you !

Who are we:

Hearts & Minds is an innovative organisation with a passion for the wellbeing of people, families and communities across the Auckland region.

We build stronger healthier communities by promoting, developing and strengthening wellbeing and achieve this by resourcing and supporting diverse populations to actively engage in achieving sustainable wellbeing.

We define Wellbeing as:“When people have the psychological, social, spiritual and physical resources within themselves and in their community to meet life’s challenges and thrive” Hearts & Minds March 2018

Hearts & Minds is highly regarded for its results and methodology and is an organisation on the move. We are seeking people with energy and passion for positive change to join our Governance Board and contribute to the forward momentum of this unique community organisation.

Our vision is for a Governance Board that reflects the rich diversity of the region, sees a world of possibilities in all people and is motivated by the vision of inclusive, dynamic communities that place the wellbeing of people at the front and centre of all communities development.

Being a Hearts & Minds Board Member will provide the opportunity to make a real difference at a strategic level through supporting, collaborating and promoting Hearts & Minds to strengthen the development of thriving, resilient and extraordinary communities.

Our Board meets every second month and establishes sub-committee/s on an as-needed basis. In addition, the Board holds one strategic planning day per year.

If our core values of manaakitanga (caring, respect, support), honouring diversity, innovation, and integrity, resonant with you (along with having some fun) we welcome your expression of interest.
