Overview
Building Safer Communities provide support and services for those wishing to gain their drivers license in the Far North (Kaitaia and surrounding areas). This includes financial support, driving lessons, assistance obtaining ID documentation etc. Their organisation runs regular Learner, Restricted, Defence Driving Courses and Driving lessons.

Overview
Children who live in Whangarei and surrounding areas are eligible to be part of a free school holiday and after school programme called Sistema Whangarei - Toi Akorangi. It is a programme that introduces children to playing in orchestras and learning the violin or cello. They learn about teamwork, trust, striving to achieve and good citizenship as well as making music. Children can stay in the programme as long as they like. Office hours:  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:  10am-5pm.  Please leave a message if we are not in the office.

The Giant Drop in Choir on Monday Nights: Whangarei SING!

Overview
The Giant Drop in Choir is a weekly drop-in choir led by Zoe Booty and hosted by Company of Giants at 116a Bank Street. 6pm - 7.30pm Monday nights. You don’t need any singing experience and they sing all sorts of songs from all sorts of places. All welcome. Come along, bring your children, your parents, your grandparents and your neighbours. Feel free to bring something to share for supper afterwards with cups of tea.
