MHSOA rovides mental health assistance for people over 65 years of age in both an inpatient and community setting. MHSOA provides assessment, treatment and support to service users who: -Develop new psychiatric disorders in late life -Have psychiatric complications of a physical illness associated with ageing.The MHSOA Sub-acute Treatment and Rehabilitation (STaR) Team aims to support and enhance existing community care options for older people with a diagnosis of functional mental health disorder who require an intensive, flexible and mobile community-based service to maximise recovery and minimise disability.
