Arohanui School is a Ministry of Education day school for students with disabilities, catering for students from 5 to 21 years. The school integrates a range of therapy interventions in to classroom programmes. The school has a number of satellite classrooms in West Auckland schools, and also offers an itinerant teaching service to ORS funded students in mainstream schools.

Bayview Community Centre offers rooms for hire, a variety of free or low cost classes, groups and activities and out of school care plus an Early Childhood Centre.

He Wero Teen Parent Unit provides Secondary School Education for parents aged under 20. Students can bring their babies to be cared for in the childcare centre while they study to complete NCEA and Life Skill Programmes.

Heartbeats provides educational presentations/talks on heart disease and heart health management and sponsors public seminars on heart disease, heart health and heart management resources in the community.

Highbury House is a welcoming place in Birkenhead where our community connects and grows. They offer a range of classes and groups, and run free events and workshops through the year for the community. The house has affordable rates for room hire, both for the community and businesses. Kōtare Research and Education for Social Change in Aotearoa is based at Hōteo North, near Wellsford. They run a mix of two- and three-day residential workshops at their educational centre using participatory adult education and creative methods to share knowledge, skills and collective analysis with people and groups who are working for various aspects of economic, social and ecological justice, grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Literacy Waitakere provide free specialist tuition in reading, spelling, maths, speaking, and basic computer skills. Literacy can help school leavers who are 16+ and without qualifications in everyday tasks, such as: reading school notices, reading books to children, filling in forms, understanding medication labels, bills, banking, shopping etc, and guide learners towards a pathway for further training and employment.They also provide workplace literacy and support to apprentices and preliterate mother-tongue support.
