This self-management programme is for people with type 2 diabetes and their whanau/support persons. There are three 2-hour sessions, either mornings or evenings. The programme covers: What is diabetes. Symptoms. Possible complications. Medications. Keeping active. Understanding lab tests. Foot care. Food choices (fats, sugars, salt, carbs).
