Barnardos offer a broad range of services for children, families and whānau throughout Aotearoa.They provide social support services to the most vulnerable children in our communities — including victims of family violence, addiction, neglect and abuse.They also provide guidance and support to parents, whānau and communities to help them build broader knowledge and resilience.

Bay of Islands Budgeting Service offers:• Building Financial Capability: Free confidential financial advice and support to help individuals and whanau achieve their financial goals.• Taiohi Ararau - Passport to Life: Supporting young Māori aged 15 - 24 to get their essential documents as they work towards furthering their education, training or employment.• Matihiko O Pokapu - Digital hub: Providing banking education (this includes educating users to have a greater understanding of internet security and safer practices) and support.Their hours are 9.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Breast Cancer Support Northland Trust provide a practical and emotional support service for those residents in Northland who are experiencing a Breast Cancer diagnosis. When ladies are first diagnosed one of their specially trained volunteers will contact them and support them through their journey. Their volunteer support people are women who have been through the Breast Cancer journey. Their support can be practical such as a $200 financial payment, frozen meals, knitted knockers and support coffee mornings.

BreastScreen Waitematā Northland is part of BreastScreen Aotearoa, the national breast screening programme for women aged 45 - 69 years. Building Safer Communities provide support and services for those wishing to gain their drivers license in the Far North (Kaitaia and surrounding areas). This includes financial support, driving lessons, assistance obtaining ID documentation etc. Their organisation runs regular Learner, Restricted, Defence Driving Courses and Driving lessons.

Burnett Foundation Aotearoa provide free testing services for HIV and other STIs for at-risk groups - i.e. gay and bisexual men, and other Men who have Sex with Men (MSM). Those not eligible are able to buy HIV home test kits for $29 through their website. They also provide counselling services to anyone affected by HIV, including: people living with HIV, their loved ones, and MSM. Counselling sessions can be 1-1, in group settings, and either online or in person.
