Playcentre provides an early childhood education option for Whanau/families. Playcentres offer a safe and secure learning environment for children from birth to 6 years, emphasising child initiated play and the importance of whanau/families as the first and most important educators of their children. The centres are run co-operatively by whanau/parents as an extension to the whanau/family setting. We are Ministry of Education licensed.

North Shore RDA provides therapeutic horse riding for people with disabilities to improve their physical, intellectual and emotional well-being. Horse riding is an activity which stimulates and exercises both mentally and physically. The programmes engage people to assist personal growth, confidence, independence, improve their physical fitness and the development of self esteem. Since October 1975, many hundreds of people have benefited from the services of North Shore RDA.

Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength and hope, are recovering from compulsive eating. They welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. Their primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and to carry the message of recovery to those who still suffer.

The Pacific Heartbeat team works with the Heart Foundation to 'STOP New Zealanders dying too early from heart disease', and 'HELP people with heart disease live full and productive lives. Pacific Heartbeat nutrition courses encourage Pacific people to make heart healthy food choices and move more to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Whether you have a new baby, there is sickness, injury, stress, or just plain tired, Parent Aid can lighten the load. It's like a friend coming in to help with light housework, caring for children while the parent rests or by preparing a meal for the family. Service is available from Kumeu through to Glorit and areas in between.
