Shared Vision
Mental health doesn't exist in isolation - it's shaped by the systems, services, and support available in our communities. That's where Shared Vision North Harbour comes in.
Shared Vision is our proactive, community-wide approach across the Auckland North region to strengthening the mental health landscape. We work directly with community members, organisations, and decision makers to identify what's working, what's missing, and what's needed. Then we take action - advocating for change, coordinating responses, and filling gaps where they exist.
Shared Vision comes to life through a range of community initiatives, including forums, workshops, and our new Connection Café series. These events create welcoming spaces where people can connect, learn, share experiences, and strengthen relationships while contributing to a more connected and resilient community.

Shared Vision in Action
Our first Shared Vision North Harbour Connection Café brought together community members, organisations, and local leaders for a morning of connection, learning, and conversation. Hosted by Hearts & Minds, the event explored the Māori value of manaakitanga - the action of uplifting and enhancing the mana of others. We were privileged to hear from Clayton Rangitutia, who shared his insights into the importance of connection and how manaakitanga can strengthen both individual and community wellbeing. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our first Connection Café such a welcoming and meaningful event. We look forward to continuing the conversation at future Connection Cafés.
