Business with Heart

Help make mental wellbeing support more accessible in our community

Every business is part of a community. When people and whānau can access the right mental wellbeing support, the benefits extend into workplaces, families and the wider community.

Hearts & Minds has been supporting people across our local region for more than 40 years. We help people access practical information, free and low-cost mental wellbeing services, and connections to suitable local support.

Our focus is early intervention. We want people to be able to find support when challenges first emerge, before situations become more complex or reach crisis point.

Businesses and organisations can support this work through our Community Wellbeing Supporter Programme or a tailored corporate sponsorship.

Ways to support Hearts & Minds

Community Wellbeing Supporter

For eligible small and local businesses

The Community Wellbeing Supporter Programme offers businesses and organisations a straightforward way to provide ongoing monthly support.

Sponsorship starts at NZ$100 plus GST per month, with organisations asked to make a 12-month commitment where possible.

Supporters are encouraged to choose a higher monthly amount where their circumstances allow.

Approved Community Wellbeing Supporters receive:
- A Community Wellbeing Supporter badge
- Guidance for using the badge in email signatures and approved communications
- Access to a private Supporter Hub
- Approved wording and communication resources
- Access to the Hearts & Minds annual report

Participation is available by enquiry and approval only.

Tailored Corporate Sponsorship

For larger, multi-site and national organisations

We work directly with larger organisations to develop sponsorship arrangements that reflect their size, reach and capacity to contribute.

The sponsorship amount, duration, benefits, badge use and communications are discussed and agreed before the sponsorship begins.

This option may suit organisations interested in:
- Making a substantial monthly or annual contribution
- Providing a significant one-off sponsorship
- Supporting a particular area of work
- Discussing wider staff or community involvement
- Developing an individually agreed sponsorship arrangement

Larger organisations do not automatically receive access to the Community Wellbeing Supporter badge at the standard starting amount.

Does every organisation complete the same form?

Yes. All small businesses, larger companies and other organisations begin by completing the same sponsorship enquiry form.

We will review the information and contact you to discuss the most appropriate option.

Can any organisation become a Supporter for NZ$100 per month?

No. NZ$100 plus GST is the starting monthly amount for eligible small and local organisations.

Larger, multi-site and national organisations will be contacted to discuss an appropriate corporate sponsorship arrangement.

How much should our organisation contribute?

Eligible Community Wellbeing Supporters can begin at NZ$100 plus GST per month and are encouraged to contribute more where possible.

Corporate sponsorship amounts are agreed individually.

If you are unsure what would be appropriate, select “We would like to discuss an appropriate amount” on the enquiry form.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Community Wellbeing Supporters are asked to make a 12-month commitment where possible.

The duration of a tailored corporate sponsorship is agreed with the organisation.

Is sponsorship a charitable donation?

No. Sponsorship payments are treated as sponsorship because the organisation receives agreed benefits.

Organisations must not use the main Hearts & Minds logo independently unless written permission has been provided.

Approved Community Wellbeing Supporters receive a dedicated supporter badge.
